Digital Media Production Facilities
Ever since producing the 2001 documentary Passing Places – The Real Outer Hebrides, Taigh Chearsabhagh has been committed to collaborating with local communities, students, artists and production companies to use digital media to very high production standards. Recent productions have included A Confluence with Ian Stephen, Real Escape with French artist, Jocelyn Cottencin, Andy Goldsworthy – North Uist Works, The Flying Fiddles promo, Bàird Uibhist in collaboration with Comann Eachdraidh Uibhist a Tuath and most recently BREATH/ANAIL video installation with Chris Drury.
Taigh Chearsabhagh aims to help to develop the creative industries sector in the Outer Hebrides by local provision of HD video equipment and facilities and encouraging local talent by providing production-led training opportunities. We can also provide skilled professional personnel to assist you.
Taigh Chearsabhagh now has a wide variety of video camera kits available for use, from the broadcast quality Sony PMW–EX3 to ‘point & shoot’ HDV camcorders. Also available are high quality microphones and camera support options and lighting kit.
Video editing facilities in Taigh Chearsabhagh have industry standard Final Cut Studio Pro 3 & After Effects for experienced users and iMovie for beginners.
Adobe Acrobat X Pro and Creative Suite 5 (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign) are also available for digital image processing and desktop publishing.
